Shortage of Rentals

Happy New Year!

The year 2014 was hard for Puna residents with hurricane damages and lava flow which threatened homes, and real estate values in Puna declined. As a result, the real estate value in the other areas of the Big Island appreciated, and because many Puna residents moved to the north, there is a shortage of rental homes in Hilo and surrounding areas.

The lava flow front is stalled since 1/2/15 just before Pahoa Market Place, just like the older flow front stalled right before Pahoa Village Rd. May the residents of Puna and all other areas be blessed in 2015.
